In July and August, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce will host three events to learn to use Facebook for business. In July, join us to learn about using Facebook and Facebook ads for business at two presentations. In August, join a half day workshop and learn to use Facebook ads.
PRESENTATION: How to use Facebook for Business
Did you know 1 in every 5 minutes a day is spent on Facebook? With such a powerful marketing tool, it’s critical to know whether it’s right for your business and how to get the most out of it. Learn why your business needs Facebook, the value it brings, and how to use it as a marketing tool.
This will be a joint presentation. Get tips from the professionals, and answers to your questions. The three presenters are Kathleen Larson with Be Pollinated, Danielle Milne with 760 Marketing, and Simone Talarico-Ross, Marketing Consultant. A triple hit of knowledge!
This presentation is for anyone starting with Facebook or anyone who wants a better understanding of how Facebook works for business.

PRESENTATION: Facebook Advertising for Business
Facebook ads are getting more and more powerful for business. If you are interested in learning how ads can be used for business, join this presentation. It is highly recommended you join the previous presentation to more fully understand this one.
Learn the essentials, and then some, of how to use Facebook ads for your business.
We will cover:
- How to use the system
- Creating ads: content, targeting, budget
- Monitor and improve ad performance
- Q&A session

WORKSHOP: 1/2 day Hands-on Facebook Ads Workshop
Learn by doing in this half day workshop. Who it’s for: small business owners who want to run ads themselves, anyone who wants to understand enough to hire and manage someone to run ads, and anyone who wants to learn the power behind Facebook advertising to use as part of overall marketing and communications.
What we’ll cover:
- Adverts Manager set up
- How to create 2 types of ads
- How to create a custom audience
- Ad performance tracking
- Ads ready to run, at any time you want
